Come to HackPGH and learn the basics of TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on our brand new machine! TIG welding offers greater control during the welding process of steel and aluminum and results in stronger, accurate, and aesthetically pleasing welds. This class has no prerequisites and is perfect for those trying to get their "feet wet" in TIG! Lunch is provided.

We will go over proper attire and safety, basic TIG welding techniques,  and provide you with guided hands-on practice before allowing you to work independently on projects.  Students will take home their own handmade metal chain-link coat rack!

Please remember:  Work boots are preferred, but open-toed shoes are NOT permitted. Canvas is acceptable, but no cloth athletic shoes. Students must wear natural fiber clothing (denim, cotton, etc.) for this class. Long hair should be tied back for safety purposes!

Ticket must be purchased to ensure your spot in the class! NOTE: No-shows will NOT be refunded. If you need to cancel, please contact HackPGH at least 48 hours before the class date!
